Kamis, 19 Mei 2022, Tim Akademik PEP Bandung yang dipimpin oleh Imelda Hutabarat, didampingi oleh Rudiyansah dan Apriyanti melakukan koordinasi lanjutan dalam rangka pembahasan program kerjasama kurikulum, khususnya pada penentuan konversi kredit SKS antara program D3 (Vokasi) Teknologi Metalurgi PEP Bandung terhadap program S1 Teknik Metalurgi Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), dan disambut hangat oleh Dr. Deni Ferdian, S.T., M.Sc selaku Kepala Departemen Teknik Metalurgi & Material FTUI dan Dr. Ahmad Zakiyuddin, S.T., M.Eng selaku Sekretaris Departemen Teknik Metalurgi & Material FTUI, bertempat di Kampus UI Depok, Jawa Barat.
Agenda tindak lanjut kerjasama pengusulan konversi kredit SKS, antara lain membedah kesesuaian Syllabus (RPS) dan relevansi bobot SKS dari tiap-tiap Mata Kuliah (MK) dari kedua Institusi Pendidikan, baik MK Dasar, MK Keahlian dan MK Pilihan, dan juga pembahasan ide-ide possibilities yang dapat ditempuh oleh Mahasiswa/i PEPB untuk mengikuti Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB) di program S1 Teknik Metalurgi & Material FTUI, tentunya koordinasi lanjutan kerjasama kurikulum ini merupakan salah satu langkah strategis PEPB dalam penguatan networking diranah Keilmuan Metalurgi Ekstraktif, Benchmarking kurikulum yang up-to-date dan juga menumbuhkan hubungan kerjasama yang Sustainable dimulai dari level Departemen, Fakultas dan Universitas.
Koordinasi Lanjutan Program Kerjasama Kurikulum dapat dijadikan momentum branding program-program yang dimiliki PEP Bandung kepada Civitas Akademika Fakultas Teknik UI pada umumnya, dan Departemen Teknik Metalurgi & Material FTUI pada khususnya, tentunya tidak luput menambahkan dalam koordinasi lanjutan ini, Tim Akademik PEP Bandung menerangkan salah satu program andalan berupa Program Webinar skala Nasional yang rutin diadakan PEP Bandung (Bersertifikat) setiap hari Senin, dan mengajak para Ahli dari Departemen Teknik Metalurgi & Material FTUI untuk mengisi sesuai dengan topik yang ditentukan.
Follow-Up on Metallurgical Curriculum Collaboration: PEP Bandung and the University of Indonesia
Thursday, May 19th, an Academic Team from PEP Bandung led by Imelda Hutabarat and her aides, Rudiansyah and Apriyanti, visited the campus of University of Indonesia (UI) in Depok to coordinate further on the topic of curriculum collaboration. The collaboration in question is focused on the conversion of academic credits from the vocational degree of Metallurgical Technology at PEP Bandung to the credits for the bachelor program of Metallurgical Engineering at Engineering Faculty of UI. The PEP Bandung Academic Team was warmly greeted by Dr. Deni Ferdian as the Head Department of Metallurgy and Material Engineering and Dr. Ahmad Zakiyuddin as the Secretary of the Department.
The agenda of the meeting were to discuss the curriculum compatibility and the weight relevance of each courses in both institutions (fundamental, technical and optional courses), and to discuss possible ideas of how students of PEP Bandung can have access to the Student Admission program of the Bachelor Program at the UI Department of Metallurgy & Material Engineering. This coordination meeting is clearly a strategic move by PEP Bandung to strengthen their networks in the domain of Extractive Metallurgy, to set a benchmark for state-of-the-art curriculum, and to nurture a sustainable cooperation on Department, Faculty, and University level.
This meeting was also a momentum for PEP Bandung to promote their programs to academic communities in the Department of Metallurgy & Material Engineering of UI. Within this meeting, PEP Bandung team highlighted their weekly National Webinar Series which aired every Monday and humbly invited experts from the Department of Metallurgy and Material of UI as speakers in the event.
