Kamis, 21 April 2022, Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi mengadakan Kajian dan Buka Bersama. Acara ini merupakan kegiatan yang diadakan dalam rangka dies natalis Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi yang pertama bertemakan “The Authentic Spirit of Metallurgy Generation”. Acara dimulai pukul 16.00 WIB. Yang menarik pada acara ini berlangsung secara hybrid. Acara offline berlangsung di Gedung Conventional Hall PPSDM Geominerba yang di ikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi angkatan 2019, 2020, dan 2021. Acara Online diikuti oleh Bapak Direktur Politeknik Energi dan Pertambangan Bandung, Bapak Dr. Asep Rohman, S.T., M.T. dan beberapa mahasiswa.

Pertama acara dibuka oleh MC mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi Angkatan 2021, Rifalah dan Yusuf kemudian sambutan dari Ketua Pelaksana kegiatan, Ahmad Shiddiq dan beturut-turut dari Ketua Program Studi Teknologi Metalurgi, Bapak Dr. Denny Lumban Raja, S.Kom., M.T. dan Dosen Sekaligus Wadir III Bidang Kemahasiswaan Politeknik Energi dan Pertambangan Bandung, Bapak Dr. Forest. Tedi Yunanto, S.Hut., M.Si. Acara kajian diisi oleh Ust. H. Syarif Lukmanul Hakim selanjutnya sambutan dari Direktur Politeknik Energi dan Pertambangan Bandung, Bapak Dr. Asep Rohman, S.T., M.T. 

Acara ini begitu meriah dengan adanya ceremonial Dies Natalis yaitu pemotongan tumpeng oleh Kepala Program Studi Teknologi Metalurgi Bapak Dr. Denny Lumban Raja, S.Kom.,M.T. ditemani dosen Prodi Metalurgi, ketua pelaksana kegiatan, Ahmad Shiddiq dan ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi, Ramses Erdilo. Sebelum pemotongan tumpeng Pak Lumban menyampaikan beberapa harapan agar himpunan kita tetap solid dan kuat seperti yel yel Prodi Metalurgi “Satu Metal, Kita Metal, Semua Metal, Solidaritas Tak Terpental” semoga yel yel tidak hanya diucapkan tapi dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan mahasiswa teknologi metalurgi. 

Dalam beberapa sambutan  dan materi dari narasumber kajian yang telah disampaikan, semua berharap dengan adanya kegiatan ini semangat muda dari mahasiswa Teknologi Metalurgi mampu berkembang dalam iman dan ketaqwaan terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa serta meningkatkan solidaritas dan lebih maju lagi.

On Thursday, April 21, 2022, the Student Union of Metallurgical Technology Department held a Gathering before having an iftar together. This event was a part of the first Dies Natalis celebration of the Student Union of the Metallurgical Technology Department. The event brought the theme of “The Authentic Spirit of Metallurgy Generation”. The program started at 4.00PM and was conducted in hybrid. The offline session was held at the Convention Hall of PPSDM Geominerba, and was filled by the lecturers and students of Metallurgical Technology Department year 2019, 2020, and 2021. Meanwhile, present in the online session were Dr. Asep Rohman, S.T., M.T., the Director of Bandung Polytechnic of Energy and Mining and several students.

The program was hosted and opened by Rifalah and Yusuf, students of the year 2021. Opening speeches were given by Ahmad Shiddiq as the Event Project Manager, followed by Dr. Denny Lumban Raja, S.Kom., M.T, the Head of Metallurgical Technology Department, and Dr. Forest. Tedi Yunanto, S.Hut., M.Si. as the Deputy Director of Student Affair and Alumni of PEP Bandung. The keynote sermon speech was given by Ust. H. Syarif Lukmanul Hakim, and followed by speech from the Director, Dr. Asep Rohman himself. 

The event was joyful as Dr. Denny Lumban Raja, Ahmad Siddiq, and Ramses Erdilo, the Chair of the Student Union proceeded with the celebratory tumpeng ceremony. Before the ceremony, Dr. Lumban hoped that the union would stay solid and strong, just like the chants of the Metallurgy Department, "Satu Metal, Kita Metal, Semua Metal, Solidaritas Tak Terpental". Hopefully this chant could be much louder in action, reflected in our daily lives.

Within some of the speeches, all hoped and prayed that through this event, the youthful spirit of Metallurgy students could grow in faith in God Almighty as well as in the student's solidarity.
